Thrive Events is introducing our February Spotlight, Tessa!
1. What part of working at this company do you enjoy the most?
Hands down my favorite part about working for Thrive Events is the opportunity to build new relationships every day. There isn’t a person in this world you can’t learn something from, and Thrive gives you the opportunity to stop taking the small lessons for granted!
2. What have you learned from working at this company?
Working with Thrive Events has taught me that we are our own worst critics and overthinking things is the most detrimental to your path to success. Every day I am reminded that I am far too intelligent to get in my own way so I now hold myself accountable for my happiness!
3. Where do you see your future with this company?
Frankly the opportunity that lies ahead of me through what I am learning with this company is so vast that I don’t know where I will stop. What I do know is every day I am working closer to my goal of financial freedom and setting the example for my son that if you take charge of yourself you can self-manage and jump climb or crawl through any obstacle that is between your point A and point B!
4. What has been your most favorite moment while working here?
I can’t say I have a singular favorite moment, every day I am holding on to a favorite moment when someone teaches me or just simply brightens my day with a little bit of affirmation. I don’t think there has been a single day since I’ve started with the company that someone besides me hasn’t reminded me that I have all the potential in the world—you just don’t get that type of reassurance in most positions!
5. What do you enjoy most about being part of this team?
To piggyback off all my other answers, my favorite thing about my position as a campaign manager is the people around me, hands down. Every stage of development brings so much to me. Entry levels consistently remind me that placing our faith in systems will keep us on track with our goals, fellow Campaign Managers remind me that even if the day feels gritty, we have a tight network to hold each other up and every Owner and PM I have had the opportunity to chat with remind me of what is to come if we just keep our noses down and our goals big! This is not a race, it is a marathon and just when I feel out of breath, someone is around the corner to hand me water and remind me how close it all is.
6. What makes your job so rewarding?
What makes this career so rewarding to me is that it has brought clarity to my life. A sense of self-awareness, I literally feel better about myself as an adult, mother and professional every day. Why? Because I am walking into a building full of opportunity and finding it, I am sending people home with goods that help their lives: pain relief with Soma, better sleep with our Pillows or quick meals so they can focus on family after a long day. For every product we send a customer home with, we are giving them back time they can allocate where they see fit. “Find something you love, do it every day; do that for the rest of your life and eventually the world will change.”
